With extensive clinical experience in Australia, Egypt, and the Maldives, Dr Mohamed Rasheed is dedicated to providing high-quality, patient-focused care.
He values the doctor–patient relationship above all else, striving to build trust, honesty, and mutual respect with every individual he sees.
Born in the Maldives, Dr Rasheed completed his medical degree in Egypt before relocating to Australia in 2003.
He completed a Master of Medicine (Internal Medicine) at the University of Melbourne while working at The Royal Melbourne Hospital from 2003 to 2008, followed by several years at Western Health. During this time, he gained extensive experience across Internal Medicine, Geriatrics, Emergency Medicine, Cardiology, Nephrology, and Intensive Care.
In 2011, Dr Rasheed expanded his practice into community medicine through the National Home Doctor Service (NHDS), where he continues to serve as a Senior Doctor and Mentor. His experience there deepened his understanding of family and community health.
In 2017, Dr Rasheed established Polaris Medical Centre in Bundoora, where he continues to provide comprehensive and compassionate medical care to patients of all ages.
