Dr. Pooja Sharma

Dr Pooja Sharma is a compassionate and approachable GP who is committed to providing high-quality, patient-centred care. Having grown up just around the corner from Polaris Medical Centre, she is proud to now serve the very community that shaped her.

Dr Sharma completed her medical training in Queensland and began her career working in Tweed Heads, NSW, gaining valuable experience across a wide range of clinical areas before returning home to Melbourne. She has a strong interest in Women’s Health, Antenatal Care, and Paediatrics, and is passionate about supporting women and families through all stages of life.

She is also certified in Implanon insertion and removal, and provides gentle, thorough care in all aspects of reproductive and general health.

Dr Sharma is known for her warm nature, clear communication, and her ability to make patients feel comfortable and heard. She enjoys building long-term relationships with her patients and is dedicated to delivering care that is holistic, evidence-based, and tailored to individual needs.

Outside of medicine, Pooja spends most of her free time with her beloved dog. She also enjoys relaxing with friends and family, exploring Melbourne’s food and coffee scene, and keeping active outdoors.
